Today I was in a bit of pain so I was in bed much of the day. I did a little bit of playing time with my Twinkling H2Os from Colour Arte, my Derwent watercolor pencils, I stamped my images with archival ink pad because it permanent. I used water color paper and just played.. Sometimes with water brush and sometimes with a regular artist bristle brush. Here are a few pictures.
These are images from stamps I got from SinCityStamps.com called Madame As you can see I did a bit of scribbling swatches on my water color paper direct.. to avoid leaving pencil mark lines on my images, I hate that.. (ilk) These derwent pencils seem pretty perm once dry. I couldn't go back and move color from my swatches of color.. so i learned.. just pick up a little at a time. Plus it was more then enough to accommodate the small spaces I was working on.
and these are from Terri Sprouls newest stamps.. also from Sin City Stamps found here. Here I used more of my H2Os. I like to add shimmer to their clothing and shoes whenever I could.. They all look like glamorous girls, don't they? Love my little pots of shimmering goodness!
Both are fun to play and color with.. whether it be water color paints and or pencils!
I definitely won't need a coloring book for a while!
Might even use some of those on my post for Sin City this coming Friday.. :)
Anywho.. enough for this post.. I could go on for a while longer.. but ha.. I have over 70 more days of yacking to do!! :)
In the mean time.. if your up to reading.. check out my girls right here.. :)
You play very well. Love those stamps!! And that answered a few questions I had LOL Hope you start to feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your blogs daily and this one is great for reference to the technique you are trying. Get better soon.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you weren't feeling too good, but glad you were OK enough to play with your new stamps and color!
