So excited to begin My Color is Beautiful Arts online course over at scrapsofcolor.ning . It's not to late to register here on Tiare's Blog!
I began by grabbing a few of my faves.. from Deco Art! Liquitex Matte Medium is a new one for me. While I appreciate Deco Art's Media line Matte Medium, it's hard for me to keep in stock! (It's good stuff!! :) so is the gesso!!)
I began with my Strathmore Mixed Media Papers (400 series has a vellum finish that I love!!)
Gesso, Tim Holtz Tissue Paper and Neon paint in Blue.
Then as directed I brayered on a few more colors.
loving how this background looks all rustic.
I have to create a face now.. thing is with me.. I kinda like the idea I got from Betty over at Mystic Tulip This idea stuck with me. I use it MOST often with my faces, as I create.
that tip is to use the colors already in your background when you create your main item of focus.. So I tend to never pull out a brown paint when I want to paint a brown person. I use the colors already in front of me and created that brown. I hadn't added yellow, so I did a few splatters and booyah.. I was good.
Then I painted my face, it was ok that it was transparent.. I like that.. I like my background texture showing through it!!
Then I just went town building my angel and got give her a crown full of purple powers of goodness.. It's her halo. I think I liked that part more than anything. Gave her a shirt with more purple personality and a few Tiare scribbles.. and I was done..
Thank you for coming by and checking out my #divaangel. :)
she is wonderful, I love her
ReplyDeleteI have not finished mine yet, background almost done- le sigh & lol
